The Craft and Creative of League of Legends: Riot Games music team at Tribeca Games
As part of Tribeca Games event, myself and composers Jason Willey and Alex Temple will be talking at Tribeca Games regarding the music of League of Legends.
“For its inaugural event, Tribeca Games invited Riot Games to showcase the creative process behind League of Legends, an online competitive game that challenges, entertains, and inspires more than 90 million players worldwide each month. Through a series of panels, Tribeca Games Presents The Craft and Creative of League of Legends will provide aspiring game designers, industry professionals, and game craft enthusiasts with a unique opportunity to explore Riot developers’ approach to building characters, art, design, music, and stories.”
“The Barber” is now streaming on Netflix! A little more than year ago I had the great pleasure on writing music for this great thriller piece alongside the great Freddy Sheinfeld.
Here are a few words about the film:
“The first film produced by Chapman Filmed Entertainment is the thriller The Barber. The company optioned the script from professional screenwriter Max Enscoe and tapped Chapman alumnus Basel Owies, ’10 M.F.A. Film Production, to direct the feature. Dodge College alumni filled key creative positions and current students participated in a variety of roles.
A character-driven thriller, The Barber examines two men fixated on what triggers the enormity of evil: a father whose life is destroyed in pursuit of a killer, a son caught in a deadly charade as he tries to unravel his father’s obsession. The film stars Scott Glenn (The Silence of the Lambs, The Bourne Ultimatum, Training Day), Stephen Tobolowsky (Memento, Groundhog Day, Buried) and Chris Coy (Random, Greenberg, Hostel: Part III).
The film was shot on location in Orange and in the Los Angeles area.
Director Basel Owies graduated from Dodge College’s Conservatory of Motion Pictures in 2010. His short films have won several awards including Best Featurette at Red Rock Film Festival for his thesis film, Forced Perspective.”
Edouard Brenneisen joins Riot Games to work on “League of Legends”
I am extremely happy to announce that I am joining forces with Riot Games to work on “League of Legends”.
“League of Legends” is the most played video game in the world. It is my belief that, since its release in 2009, “League of Legends” has featured some of the best and most exciting music from any media and across all genres. I am truly looking forward to being a part of this adventure!
“Destructo is just that. A destructive and explosive sound design album with everything turned to the MAX. With its dark and sinister drones, heavy deep impacts and screaming edgy synths, this fierce, evil and massive compilation definitely goes to eleven. Don’t try to adjust your volume, it’s supposed to sound like that”
“The Final Nights: the Proposition” at New Filmmakers Film Festival in NYC
“The Final Nights: the Proposition”, the JR Howell film I had the pleasure of scoring recently, is an official selection at the New Filmmakers Film Festival in NYC for their summer program. The screening will take place on August 19th 2015.
Edouard Brenneisen wraps up “The Final Nights: the Proposition”
Edouard recently scored director JR Howell’s sophomore film, “The Final Nights: the Proposition”.
For the score to “The Final Nights: the Proposition”, Edouard relied on a playful interaction between a chamber string ensemble and a full symphony orchestra, augmented by solo violin and electric cello, weaving edgy musical colors through the ambiguous story line.
