Music for League of Legends’ “The Climb” cinematic
I am very I proud of the release of League of Legends’ “The Climb” cinematic and feeling thankful for the opportunity to have written and produced the music for it! Many thanks to Anton Kolyukh for being a demanding creative partner on this. The score features 82 fantastic musicians from the AFM, a cast assembled by Hollywood Scoring’s finest, Noah Gladstone and Elisa Rice, led by concertmaster Mark Robertson and conductor extraordinaire Anthony Parnther, and beautifully captured at Warner Brothers’ Eastwood Scoring Stage by Adam Michalak. Big props to Formosa sound designer Eliot Connors and mixer Chad Bedell for their awesome work.
A lot of Riot Games people put a lot of hard work and effort into this video and it shows. As a League player and game developer, I couldn’t be more excited! Season 8 of League of Legends is off to a great start (our team even won our first match of the season!).
I am thrilled to have written the music to this year’s Star Guardian skin line for League of Legends! Following up on last year’s Burning Bright (which I was lucky to get to pen the music and lyrics), this year’s Star Guardian event comprises a beautiful animated teaser, a login theme and a completely new map and mode for League of Legends.
Directed by Riot Games creative Patrick Morales, the Anima-produced video features sound design by Julian Samal and a mix by Sean Balas.
We had the chance to record a group of LA’s finest musicians at The Bridge Recording, contracted by the infallible Noah Gladstone, under the direction of maestro Anthony Parnther, all captured by Steve Kaplan. Extra special thanks to Thanh Tran, who not only delivered great music copy services on this (and stayed up all night to do so), but saved the day after my transfer hard drive died.
Lastly, I’m super stalked for the music to feature the amazing vocal talents of Julie Elven, who really brought everything to life – a true gem of a singer!
Here is the login theme for Star Guardian 2017:

Music for League of Legends’ Kayn, the Shadow Reaper
I am thrilled to announce that I have composed the music for League of Legends’ newest champion, Kayn – The Shadow Reaper.
Kayn’s duality directly into the music: Ascended Kayn is the cold, calculated and maniacally precise heir to Zed’s mastery, Rhaast is the Darkin whose pure, unadulterated rage has taken over a human body.
Music for Dark Star Orianna and Kha’Zix; Dark Star: Singularity game mode
Back into horror-inducing business with League of Legends! I recently got the chance to revisit the musical universe I created for Dark Star Thresh. This time, it’s Orianna and Kha’Zix, two League of Legends champions, to be stamped with the oppressive Dark Star seal.
Here’s the theme I wrote for them:
In addition to this theme, I wrote music for an entirely new League of Legends map, “Dark Star: Singularity” – check out the trailer below!
I’m really excited to share with you all this super cool project we wrapped up for League of Legends!
I’m feeling thankful for the opportunity to write music for this awesome piece. We recorded a bunch a big group of our L.A. musician friends at The Bridge (assembled by the amazing Noah Gladstone and Elisa Rice), under the baton of conductor extraordinaire Anthony Parnther, all beautifully captured by Steve Kaplan. Úyanga Bold blessed us with some truly inspiring vocal performances!
Big up to the rest of my sound bros, Eliot Connors, Kyle Vande Slunt, Bryan Higa and Sean Balas for the sonic goodness!
Last but not least, here is the theme that I wrote for Rakan and Xayah, League of Legends’ newest champions.
